SPIRITUAL ASPECTS OF ABORTION  (2 HRS)

The decision to have an abortion is an agreement with death. In a crisis pregnancy, fear drives agreement with many lies about the pressured circumstances. Abortion recovery is not just about making us feel better about taking the life of the baby. It is about rooting out the false beliefs of an idolatrous belief system that leads to death, and bringing revival to the soul.

BASIC TRACK

ABORTION’S AFTERMATH (3 HRS)

Exploring the psychological aspects of abortion on the individual who has lost the child, as well as others who’ve been affected. Documented research reveals the devastating affects of abortion on the family and the social order of communities and nations.

BASIC COUNSELING SKILLS (3 HRS)

People do not care what you know until they know you care. Developing our listening skills is learning to really love the person no matter what choices they have made. When a person’s true feelings have been validated, they will come to see the beliefs behind those feelings, and become able to choose whether to altar what they believe.

SMALL GROUP THERAPY (3 HRS)

We'll discuss the dynamics of developing relational environments that are conducive to processing the pain of the unresolved grief of abortion. You'll learn about the development of group stages and how to manage them effectively. 

THE RESTORATION PROCESS (5 HRS)

You'll become familiar with the specific stages of the healing journey from the first encounter to total recovery. In the basic track, you'll get an overview of various faith-based counseling methods, and learn the stages when they are best used.  

ADVANCED TRACK

GOSPEL OF LIFE

Issues of reproductibe health are LIFE issues.  The point of need in a pregnancy, a relationship, or the aftermath of an abortion is the opportunity for empowering someone with relationship with the gospel of the Kingdom.  You can actually change the atmosphere of the community where you minister through teaching these Kingdom principles of LIFE. 

 MINISTRY MODELS (3 HRS)

This session explores some proven faith-based methods of ministry, applying them to abortion recovery. We will explore grief counseling, 12-step programs, belief therapy, and prayer methods of mind renewal.  You'll learn through instruction, and ministry within the group.

ESTABLISHING YOUR OUTREACH (3 HRS)

We are involved in a great move of restoration! This session explores how to reach the man or woman hurting from abortion in your sphere of influence. We’ll present overviews of curriculum models and creative ideas for outreach; discuss mobilization efforts and the organizational structure of your ministry.
